Our care staff ensure that entertainment is maintained at the home. We employ an in-house Activity Coordinator 3 days per week who takes time to get to know individuals and their interests and will gear activities to suit all likes and abilities. Activities can be group based or individual in their own rooms if the resident does not wish to come into communal areas.
We have a nine-seater minibus for the resident’s enjoyment and we go for mystery trips or places of interest. We have an inhouse hairdresser and we arrange for local children to visit the residents especially those who have no family. We celebrate special days such as St Davids Day, St Patricks, Valentines etc and our Christmas week build up is always a joyous one with a staff show. We hold a resident and family meeting regularly and this is where we discuss things that can be improved and fundraising for residents’ activities.
