At The White House Care Home, we offer a diverse and regularly updated activity programme designed to cater to the various interests and abilities of our residents. We strive to provide a wide range of stimulating and enjoyable activities, including inviting outside entertainers as often as possible to ensure a lively and engaging atmosphere.
For outings, we have a 7-seater minibus that residents can enjoy during mystery trips or visits to places of interest. In addition, our in-house hairdresser ensures residents feel pampered, and we arrange visits from local children to provide companionship, especially for those residents who have no family nearby.
Special days and celebrations are an important part of life at The White House, including events such as birthdays, St. David’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Valentine's Day, Diwali, and our festive Christmas week, which is always filled with joy and anticipation.
Each month, we hold a resident and family meeting known as “The Pentagon Club.” This meeting is a chance for everyone to discuss improvements, share ideas, and plan fundraising for resident activities. We encourage participation and are always open to suggestions from our residents to enhance their experience.
To support spiritual needs, a local priest visits once a month to offer communion, and we ensure that all faiths are respected and accessible to our residents.
