At Bistre Care Home we aim to provide our residents with a high quality and reliable service which meets their individual needs. To help achieve this, the home has used the fundamental core values of care to develop and deliver the service on a person-centred basis:

• Independence and autonomy of personal choices and decision making which involves taking risks associated with everyday life.
• The safeguarding from intrusion and the preservation of confidentiality.
• Emotional and psychological support which is understanding of the difficulties faced by individuals which, without good understanding, could result in challenging behaviours

These values will provide a sound foundation for the provision of care to all, regardless of personal circumstances and in accordance with the home’s Equality Policy.

Twenty-seven bedrooms have en-suite facilities. Five bedrooms have wash basin facilities. Our bedrooms are furnished to a good standard and personal items are always welcome so that each room has its own individual personal touch. We provide wardrobe space, chest of drawers, profiling bed or divan depending on the residents needs. Each room has its own key and a lockable drawer or box for personal storage.
